I see a lot of things that are going on in Christian community which discourage me and I think we are losing the focus on who the real enemy is in our current spiritual war. I think the Evil is sitting on the sideline and laughs about the following things that are going on with Christians:

  • The insight about between Calvinism vs Arminian
  • The ridicule of the Catholic church by Protestants
  • The passiveness of Christians community when Liberals are taking over our education system (from Kindergarten to higher education) and teach our children Atheism,
  • The passiveness of Christians community when Liberals are taking over our local and national political system and yes the country.
  • The passiveness of Christian to protest the atrocities that is done by hard core Muslims against our Christian brother and sisters.

I watch and read a lot about people arguing if Calvinism is right, what reformed theology is, and how unchristian the Pop is, how different the Orthodox are, etc. We somehow forget that all the believers are the “church”. There is no them and us. All of us are the body of the Christ. If you believe that Jesus is Lord, he died for your sins on the cross, was resurrected on the third day, you confess your sins and you repent then you are Christian. As far as I am concerned, Calvinist, Armenian, Methodist, Orthodox, and Catholics believe these facts so we have the same faith. We argue endlessly about the small differences and forget that there are much bigger enemies out there that we should focus on which are Islam and Atheism. I salute pastor Greg Lori and others pastors who are teaching Christians to unite and support each other. There is much more that binds us than separates us. We have much more in common that we think.

While we argue endlessly about God’s sovereignty and man’s responsibility, how to take the Lord’s table, Islam is on the march and is killing our brothers and sister in middle east, Pakistan and Afghanistan. Almost 90% of Christian population in Iraq, Syria and Egypt is gone and all we discuss in US is what Pope says and if pre-tribulation rapture is biblical or not.

Another big enemy out there is the dominance of Atheism and Liberal ideas in our country. Our school is USA teach more about Islam than Christianity under the name of “tolerance and understanding”. Our best universities are totally dominated by atheists and agnostics and they treat Bible believing student like fools. We have lost the argument that Atheism is also a believe system. The liberals have managed to present Christianity as a belief system and Atheist as science-based. 80% of Christian kids who go to college lose their faith by the time they graduate! It is an astonishing number.

We lost the marriage battle. Now they are pushing that your gender is not decided by our sex organs. Your gender is based on how you feel inside. And I am sure worse things to come if we Christian stay passive.

I am going to write a piece in my blog about how to more active and try to be more impactful Christians. But for now, let us (Christian’s) not fight each other and focus on the bigger and real enemies out there.
